Eric Gbetta Joins Kotoko

Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the signing of Eric Gbetta on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old rapid-pace winger has committed to a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2028.

The Ivorian last played for Al Wadah SC of Oman and becomes the fifth signing of Eric Tinkler.

In his first interview with scasantekotoko.com the midfielder expressed his readiness to play for Asante Kotoko:

“Asante Kotoko is a name that most people in the Ivory Coast know. Although I have not watched them play before, I have been told remarkable stories about their past competition with Asec Mimosas and other strong African teams. I am therefore very excited to play for Kotoko. Ghana and Ivory Coast are like a brother and sister, so I do not think that I will struggle to adapt to the league.”

Kotoko’s director of football Stanley Menzo added:

“Eric is an exciting talent and we are delighted to have him join the club. Most importantly, we are confident with him and the other players that we can achieve our target this season.”
