Asante Kotoko is delighted to confirm the signing of the highly rated attacking midfielder, Baba Yahaya.

The 21-year-old will be a part of the Porcupine family until 2026.

Yahaya completed a mandatory medical test and agreed a deal with the club for the next three football seasons.

Baba becomes our third midfield reinforcement, following in the signings of Andrews Ntim and Bernard Somuah.

Comfortable on playing from either of the flanks as well as operating as a number 10, he scored five goals, making five assists and won the man of the match awards on five occasions during last season’s campaign with city rivals, King Faisal FC.

The midfielder, who is no stranger to the Baba Yara Stadium, said during his unveiling that he is excited to finally make this move.

“I feel honoured to finally be here. I have been dreaming of this day.

"I believe that sometimes, in life, the voice of the people is the voice of God. I thank whoever was involved in making this happen.

"I am more than ready to put on the shirt and get started.

"I understand the responsibilities that come with this, and I am ready to face it with hard work.”
