Asante Kotoko SC can confirm the departure of fourteen players from the first team ahead of the 2026/2027 league season.
Following the arrival of the club’s new technical direction led by director of football Stanley Menzo and the assessment of some players who completed the 2025/2026 season, the club has concluded its player exit process. Some players departed upon the expiration of their contracts while others have left after reaching mutual agreements to terminate their contracts.
The following players officially left the club upon the expiration of their contracts:
* Mohammed Camara – Goalkeeper
* Samba O’Neil – Centre-back
* Henry Ansu – Centre-back
* Baba Yahaya – Midfielder
* Peter Amidu Acquah – Forward
* Albert Amoah – Forward
The club can also confirm that mutual agreements were reached earlier last month with the following players, making them free agents:
* Benjamin Twum – Goalkeeper
* Zackaria Fuseini – Centre-back
* Francis Acquah – Left-back
* Prince Badu – Midfielder
* Isaac Mintah – Forward
* Kwame Opoku – Forward
* Johnson Owusu – Forward
* Elvis Kyei Baffour – Forward
The decisions were reached amicably as part of the club’s ongoing restructuring.
