The Asante Kotoko Youth team (the Young Porcupines) has criteria agreed upon by the technical team.
We have selected some, and we are still refining and polishing.
Out of 20 players registered, every player has played not less than 90 minutes out of the total 630 minutes.
The plan is to develop the players holistically. It is when each player gets appreciable playing time and competitive matches that we can take steps towards developing their potential.
Some of the boys play great football in training sessions but face different challenges under match conditions.
During matches, we identify some positives and errors through key performance indicators under match conditions, be it psychological, technical, tactical or physical.
Due to the differences between a player's progress from development to the competition phase, we need to steadily, tactfully and critically consider various details of each player and refine them from their raw talented states to a professionally accepted and marketable level which will bring glory to the King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Asante Kotoko.
The work of the technical team and the consistent performance of all the players will do the publicity for this great club.
"Work in silence and allow the performance to make loud noise". We are capable.
