We travel to the capital to take on Legon Cities at the El Wak Sports Stadium on Thursday afternoon as a new era begin under coach Abdul Gazale.
Coach Gazele faces his first major test after management of the club relieved Coach Seydou Zerbo of his duties following the painful 2-0 defeat to Medeama Sporting club on Sunday evening.
Definitely, Kotoko has to play with a greater sense of purpose and determination against a difficult opposition.
Legon Cities has been struggling this season, and with relegation staring at them, they will come all out against us. However, history tells us, when the odds are against us, we demonstrate that we are the Porcupine Warriors. This is the inspiration that should drive our boys on Thursday.
We need to shake off Sunday’s setback and return to winning ways as soon as possible
Kotoko has not been too impressive on the road, but we can draw some confidence from our win against Samartex 1996 in our last away win.
We played a 1-1 drawn game when we hosted Legon Cities in the first round.
We want to retain our league title and need to start well and win the game.
