Central midfielder Mudasiru Salifu has left the club and has completed a permanent move to Al-Bukiryah FC of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after an incredible four seasons with Kotoko.

The midfielder arrived at the club in 2019 and soon established himself as one of the best in the league, earning him a call-up to the Black Galaxies. His first goal came in our remarkable 3-1 away win over Dreams FC in the opening fixture of the 2021-2022 season.

Mudasiru’s contributions to the club ever since his arrival have been immeasurable both on and off the pitch, playing a vital role in our title-winning season. His high levels of enthusiasm and professionalism saw him been named vice captain for the season.

He also enjoyed two successful loan spells at Moldovan club FC Sheriff Tiraspol, helping them secure a group stage berth in the UEFA Europa League, where he faced off with five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. The midfielder, following the expiration of his loan deal, joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Batin in the Saudi Pro-League.

Muda’s terrific performances did not lack suitors who chased him for his service. However, after prolonged negotiations, Asante Kotoko SC reached an agreement for his permanent move to the Middle East.

Everyone at the club would like to express our utmost gratitude to Mudasiru for his contributions over the course of four years with the club.
