Fernando is Out With Injury

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and his Kotoko team will have to face division one side, Future Stars FC when the two sides collide in the round-64 stage of the MTN FA Cup without the mercurial winger Wisdom Bassey Fernando. 

The Nigerian attacker was in explosive form when he made his first start of the season in our 2-0 away victory against Aduana Stars last Sunday. Fernando walked off in the early minutes of Wednesday's session with what was later confirmed by the club's medical staff as a contusion of the left hamstring which is likely to keep him out for about a week.

Our warriors have won the FA Cup on nine occasions and will look to add the tenth trophy with the first hurdle against the locals from Kwamo.
